General Buhari (Retd.) of the All Progressive Congress (ANC) picks his running mate

Speculations over who emerges as the running mate for the Presidential candidate of Nigerian’s main opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) for next years has been laid to rest.

General Muhammad Buhari (Rtd) picked former Attorney General of Lagos State, Professor Yemi Osibajo as his vice presidential running mate for the general elections in February, 2015. It is not yet clear if Osibajo has been ratified by the party leaders, especially those from the South West who are meeting to take a final decision on the issue.

Professor Osibajo is the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of Redeemer’s University, Ethics Adviser to the Advisory Board of the African Development Bank,(ADB), a non-executive Director of Citibank; Co-founder & Board Member, Convention on Business Integrity and the Justice Research Institute Ltd.
