18-year-old
black teenager, Antonio Martin has been fatally shot in Berkeley, Missouri outside
a Mobil Gas Station located at 6800 N. Hanley, Berkeley, about two miles west
of Ferguson reigniting the fury that rocked this St. Louis suburb after the death of Michael Brown’s August.
According
to bystanders, the teen was alive for about 30 minutes after being shot and his
body lay in the parking lot for more than two hours. An outraged crowd of about
60 people gathered behind police crime scene. The incident was followed by
protesters clashing with police at the scene, accompanied by the sound of loud
bangs.
Police
said the teen drew a handgun before the unidentified officer opened fire. Witnesses
claim no gun seen. Local journalist Andrew Westmoreland tweeted:
