Embargo on SAA Cargo services from South Africa to Lagos, Nigeria.

Nigerians who plan on sending cargo through South African Airways, (SAA) should be in the know that SAA has temporarily stopped cargo services to Lagos, Nigeria.
This comes at a great cost to Nigerian businesses that intend moving cargo especially as the Christmas holidays draw near.
Spokesperson for SAA Tladi Tladi said “The freeze is influenced by various factors which include challenges on the ground”
“Passenger flights to Nigeria are running as normal. It is the cargo services that has been put on hold.
Following many engagements with different stakeholders, SAA felt it is not advisable to continue with this service while there is no guarantee that transported goods will reach their targeted destination.
“I will not talk much about the situation but there are serious challenges on ground. We are communicating with everyone involved in a bid to resolve the matter as soon as possible.” said Tladi

However, SAA will communicate with affected customers once the embargo has been lifted.
