Elderly man dies on Mango plane


A Mango flight scheduled to depart from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport for Durban at 06:30 on Wednesday, 17 December was delayed when an elderly man, who was a passenger on the flight, collapsed moments after boarding the plane.


Paramedics were immediately called in but all efforts to resuscitate him was without success as he was declared dead on the scene. 

The airline’s communication manager, Hein Kaiser, said “We wish all our condolences to the gentleman’s family. It’s not a really good time of the year for anything like this to happen in particular.
