Flight data recorder of Air Asia QZ 8501 has been found.



According to an AFP report, Indonesian Navy divers in Jadayat state boat have succeeded in finding a very important instrument, one of two black boxes containing vital information which is called the flight data recorder of the crashed Air Asia QZ 8501 and have brought to the surface.

National search and rescue chief Bambang Soelistyo told reporters, "We succeeded in bringing up part of the black box that we call the flight data recorder."


Divers are still hunting for the second black box, the cockpit voice recorder which has been located based on pings from its emergency transmitters but have not yet been retrieved. It is hoped that the black boxes will reveal the cause of the crash.
