Jack Ma,51, has been named Forbes China’s businessman of the
year. The former English teacher captured the world stage like no other Chinese
businessman before him in September, 2014 with the record-breaking
$25 billion
initial public offering of e-commerce powerhouse Alibaba Group on the New York
Stock Exchange. The listing turned him into China's richest man estimated by
Forbes to be worth $23 billion and the third in Asia behind Hong
Kong’s Li Ka-Shing with an estimated $31 billion and Lee Shau Kee at $25
billion.
