Cop caught allegedly stealing cash at crime scene

A police constable who was caught on cctv (video footage here) allegedly taking money from a crime scene in Pretoria after sending the employees at the shop outside is being investigated.

The constable, a fingerprint expert, had attended to a burglary at a fruit and vegetable outlet in Pretoria north two weeks ago, spokesperson Noxolo Kweza in a statement.

"Criminal and disciplinary proceedings will, in accordance with SA Police Service disciplinary code, be instituted against the member. His suspension from the service is being processed."
