Two Planes collide on Tarmac while taxing.

Southwest Airlines Flight 449 filled with holiday travelers bound for Denver was taxiing to a runway for departure at about 11 a.m. when the tip of one of its wing was clipped by the tail of American Airlines Flight 1104, which was headed to a gate at LaGuardia airport, New York after landing from Dallas.

The top of the tip of the wing was ripped off, and an airport worker could later be seen in passenger photos carrying the damaged portion.

No injuries were reported. There were 143 passengers aboard each plane. Both planes were able to leave the tarmac using their own propulsion systems after the incident.
