President Mugabe fires seven more cabinet ministers


President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has fired seven cabinet ministers. According to a statement released by the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Misheck Sibanda,
“His Excellency the President Cde RG Mugabe, has further relieved the following ministers and deputy ministers of their duties and functions with immediate effect, as it had become apparent that
their conduct and performance were below the expected standards and outcome” 

However, observers believe they were fired for allegedly siding with Mujuru who was accused of plotting to overthrow Mugabe.

Those fired are:
 Flora Buka - Minister of State for Presidential Affairs
Sylvester Nguni - Minister of State in the Vice President’s Office
Paul Chimedza - Deputy minster of Health and Child Care;
Tongai Muzenda - Deputy minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Services
Tendai Savanhu - Deputy minister of Lands and Rural Resettlement.
Petronella Kagonye - Deputy minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development and her Justice,
Fortune Chasi - Legal and Parliamentary Affairs counterpart.
