Nigerian Peacekeeper cured of Ebola in Netherland



Nigerian United Nations peacekeeper infected with Ebola has been cured after treatment in the university hospital in central city Utrecht, Netherlands.
He is the first Ebola patient treated in the Netherlands since the outbreak of the disease in West Africa this year.

He was infected with the deadly disease while working as a peacekeeper with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Liberia (UNMIL )battling the deadly disease in Liberia and was flown to the Netherlands at the request of the World Health Organisation in a specially equipped plane.


He will stay at a military hospital of the Dutch Ministry of Defense until he can return home
