Two Manguzi women who were arrested on Tuesday are now off the hook.

Two Manguzi women were picked up by Kwa Msane Crime Prevention Unit for possession of suspected counterfeit goods worth over R50,000 during a road block on the highway along N2 near Kwa Msane. It was discovered that 12 bags containing running shoes made by popular brands were in their possession.

They appeared in court on Wednesday at Kwa Msane Magistrate Court and the case was later withdrawn buy the Public Prosecutor owing to insufficient evidence that the goods were imitations.
