According to Daily Mail Sue Ann Arnall, the ex-wife of Oklahoma oil magnate and chief executive of oil driller Continental Resources Inc, Harold Hamm, who is embroiled in a bitter divorce was awarded the second biggest divorce settlement ever in the United States, but turned down the personal check of $974.8 million as she continues to fight for more money.

Arnall, an economist and lawyer who held executive positions in Continental Resources was married to Hamm for 26 years.She contends that her award of around $1 billion in cash and assets was inadequate and allowed Hamm to keep the lion's share of a fortune her lawyers valued as high as $18 billion. She filed for an appeal, claiming that the fortune was due to both her work and his.
